About Cryptique

Cryptique, Krewe of Cemetery Shamblers is a phantasmagorical walking krewe and social club based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Cryptique was created during Carnival season 2022 by the members of the Cryptique Council, a creepy coterie of monster-minded individuals who'd been masking together for many Mardi Gras seasons and decided to start their own new spooky krewe. Our purpose is two-fold: to bring a Halloween-y spirit to Carnival by costuming ourselves in all manner of dark/ spooky/ nightmarish garb — and to give back to our community through charitable works and fundraising. Above all we endeavor to bring positive energy and spine-tingling fun to Mardi Gras and to everything we do. Cryptique proudly extends an invitation to all you revenants and revelers; all are welcome!
